Taste of Tuscany Weekend Cooking Course

See Class Photos

Many of you have asked me to teach an all-Tuscan weekend cooking course in San Francisco, and I can't wait to teach you how to make some of my favorite dishes from this amazing region, just in time for the holidays!

The cuisine of Tuscany is a delicious combination of simple, yet bold flavors and the freshest, high-quality ingredients.  The best part is that since the emphasis is on using seasonal produce and local meats, along with expertly crafted imported Italian cheeses, cured hams such as Prociutto di Parma, and flavorful extra virgin olive oil which are now readily available in the US, the recipes are easy to duplicate at home!

During this hands-on weekend cooking class, we'll immerse ourselves in Tuscan menus that celebrate the season.  Whether we make Fennel, Prosciutto and Parsley Salad with Shaved Parmesan, Ribollita Soup, Squash Ravioli and Porchetta (Roast Pork with Garlic and Rosemary) or dishes like Artichoke and Lemon Fritters, "Pollo Forte" (Spicy Grilled Chicken Salad with Peppers and Tomatoes) and Ricotta Gnocchi, we'll be sure to make some fabulous desserts, like my Ultimate Tiramisu, for a grand finale.  And, of course, we'll taste delicious Tuscan wines that pair beautifully with the meals we've prepared!

Get ready to expand your culinary repetoire and enjoy a Tuscan feast!

About the Cooking Class

In this 2-day course, we'll be cooking in my kitchen studio (the same one that you see on TV!) in San Francisco.  Each hands-on cooking class will feature recipes from my travels throughout Tuscany and highlight seasonal ingredients, and diverse cooking techniques.

We'll begin by reviewing the recipes, then students will divide into teams and start cooking. I'll work right along with you and show you how to fine-tune your skills and tastebuds. When we're finished, we'll sit down in my spacious dining room and enjoy the fruits of our labor!

Wine Pairings

You know How I feel about wine, so a delicious meal is not complete without the perfect wine-pairing!  At the end of each class, we'll taste a variety of wines whose flavors and acidity have been selected to match those of each dish.
