Not only is this recipe easy to put together, there's also minimal clean up!
serves 6
Ingredients
Two 12 X 7-inch (30 x 18 cm) untreated cedar planks, soaked in water for 30 minutes
1/3 cup pure maple syrup
3 tablespoons grainy style Dijon mustard
Six 5-ounce pieces of salmon fillet, skin removed
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
1 lemon, thinly sliced as a garnish
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400° F.
With aluminum foil, line a sheet pan large enough to fit the cedar planks and set aside.
Lightly oil the soaked cedar planks, place in middle of oven until you smell the cedar aroma from the planks, about 15 minutes.
In a small bowl, whisk together the maple syrup and mustard.
Remove planks from oven and place on the prepared sheet pan. Put the salmon, skin side down, on the cedar planks and brush with maple syrup and mustard glaze. Season the salmon with salt and pepper and place a lemon slice in the middle of each piece of fish on top of the glaze. Roast in middle of oven until just cooked through, about 10 minutes.
